Join Northwest Eye Surgeons for an engaging evening of continuing education exploring how virtual reality and artificial intelligence are influencing patient education and clinical care in ophthalmology.

Presented by Kristi Bailey, MD, Advances in Patient Education and Treatment: Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence in Ophthalmology will begin with the role of patient education in cataract surgery planning, including visual goals, lens counseling, expectations, and the impact of concomitant ocular disease.

Attendees will explore how virtual reality and immersive education may enhance traditional patient counseling by helping patients better understand visual concepts such as blur, glare, halos, contrast, and focal distances while supporting realistic postoperative expectations.

The presentation will also examine the growing role of artificial intelligence in eye care, including applications in diabetic eye disease, age-related macular degeneration, and glaucoma. Discussion will focus on how these technologies can support disease evaluation, monitoring, and clinical decision-making while maintaining clinician oversight, professional judgment, and patient-centered care.

The same program will be offered at three of our Northwest Eye Surgeons locations, giving you three convenient opportunities to attend.
