Austin Igelman, MD joined Northwest Eye Surgeons in 2026, specializing in cataract surgery with a focus on refractive outcomes, lens exchange, and minimally invasive glaucoma procedures. He provides high-quality care while reducing patient dependence on glasses.
A native of the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Igelman earned his undergraduate degree from Yale University before returning to Oregon Health & Science University for medical school, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his residency at the Casey Eye Institute and has published over a dozen scientific papers. Committed to service, he has volunteered providing medical and surgical care across the Pacific Northwest and in American Samoa.
Outside of the clinic, he enjoys running, skiing, and cheering for Seattle sports teams with his wife and their rescue dog.
