Brenda A. Myers-Powell, MD PhD
Brenda Myers-Powell, MD, PhD, blends academia and private practice to enhance her expertise in the subspecialties of vitreoretinal surgery and uveitis (ocular inflammation). She joined Northwest Eye Surgeons in 2008.
Dr. Myers-Powell participates in teaching, clinical trials and consulting but her true love remains patient care. She enjoys outdoor activities such as biking, boating and golfing with her son, Lorenzo.

Previous Experience
Dr. Myers-Powell was section chief of Ophthalmology at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center. She later accepted a preceptorship and associate position in a busy Northwest retina practice. While practicing vitreoretinal surgery and uveitis full-time, she also supervised a Uveitis Service for the University of Washington and a Retina/Uveitis Service at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center.
